The opportunity to automate elements of sewer asset management is no longer a concept of the future. Sewer CCTV inspection is currently a largely manual process, though has the potential to use existing technology to automate and provide great cost and time efficiencies. The automation of this process is currently in review across the Victorian water industry, with trials being conducted with a number of Visual Recognition (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) sewer CCTV footage review providers.
