WaterRA and The Water Research Foundation help feed knowledge into an IWN trial

WaterRA and The Water Research Foundation held a virtual workshop that will feed directly into a Intelligent Water Networks (IWN) trial.

On Thursday 2nd April WaterRA in collaboration with The Water Research Foundation held a virtual workshop on Developing Guidance for Assessment and Evaluation of Harmful Algal Blooms, and Implementation of Control Strategies in Source Water which was well attended by 51 people from Australia, Canada, USA, Singapore and Taiwan.

Based on the virtual polls, treatment plant operators, laboratory analysis/water quality technicians, source water managers and research and development managers were the main participants.

This workshop was designed to share the current progress in algal management, provide Australian utilities with the opportunity to share their algal management experiences and challenges, and identify future research and collaboration opportunities to address Australian utilities needs.

All of which will feed into an IWN technology trial.
