Q&A with Shivangni Chadha from Monash

Business Analytics graduate Shivangni Chadha is our most recent student on placement from Monash. Here’s a short recap of her time with IWN and her top four highlights.

Shivangni Chadha

WHAT ARE YOU STUDYING AT MONASH?

I’m in the Monash College Professional Pathways program, which aims to make graduates ready for Australian workplace.

WHAT MADE YOU PUT UP YOUR HAND FOR A WORK PLACEMENT WITH IWN?

Being new to the Australian workplace, I felt that IWN would be the appropriate place to start my career as I would learn valuable skills outside my field of study, which is Business Analytics.

WHAT WERE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR TIME WITH US?

  • The best part was to meet new people from different water corporations in meetings. I have networked with so many people and learnt about the water industry

  • Attending the Biosolids to Biochar Site Tour in Melton was another fascinating opportunity for me as I saw what happens at a water recycling plant

  • Learning to use different software, such as Microsoft SharePoint, Visio and Power Automate

  • Daily morning catch ups with the Program Director and the team, which were very welcoming and informative

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN THE WATER SECTOR?

After learning a lot about the water industry and its programs and technology, I would love to be part of it by working in the data and analytics field.
