Hydrovation Challenge open to proposals

The Hydrovation Challenge is an innovation challenge to facilitate new ways of solving prevalent water industry problems. The challenge is now open to proposals from those employed by Victorian water corporations.

Proposals must be submitted by the Friday 6th March to be in with the chance of winning $5,000 towards professional development as well as $10,000 to progress their idea forward.

If an idea requires more than the winning prize allocation, additional funding will be assessed for approval by either the IWN Program Director (up to $50,000) or the IWN Executive Group (over $50,000).

The Challenge has been created to celebrate water industry innovation and it will seek to address common sector challenges through innovative thinking and practices, it can be a way to tap into a diverse knowledge base, it’s a new avenue for ideas that by-pass traditional corporation processes and it’s a chance to build networks, learn something and have fun.

Water corporations will run an internal process to select the best submitted ideas, which will then compete against others in the same region and state. For more information or to find out where to submit a proposal, contact your corporation’s Champion.
