About IWN

Our purpose is to contribute to the transformation of the water industry by driving the exploration and adoption of innovative approaches, thinking and technologies and create opportunities that foster emerging leadership talent.

It is fundamentality important to IWN that:

  • We work collaboratively with our water corporation members and share the investment risk of our work

  • We are member focused - we work on the real challenges and opportunities our members face

  • We provide a ‘safe sandpit’ to trial and explore new technologies, innovations and thinking

  • We don’t duplicate effort; we liaise and work with other industry groups

  • We communicate what we learn to our members and stakeholders

  • We give something back to the water corporation people who volunteer to do our work

Leadership

We build capability and leadership skills in the water sector through our Champions program. Participants develop their problem solving, communication and professional skills by taking part in practical workshops and receiving one-on-one mentoring.

Governance

IWN is governed by our Executive Group. Operating like a Board, it sets our strategic focus, approves projects and monitors the program’s effectiveness. Find out more here or head to our organisational chart.
